Centered around the memoirs collected from Valeriei Dr. Pintea's novel (author: Liana Maria Gombo\u0219iu, Timi\u0219oara, Marineasa Publishing House, 2013), the event inaugurated, in addition to the museographic and pavilion exhibitions, the 16 significant landmarks of the Iosefin district, brought to life with the help of augmented reality applications, as well as the personal stories that the community was invited to share digitally. Also during the exhibition, guests could test the \"Spotlight Timisoara\" digital and augmented reality apps, accessible on an interactive table and digital tablets.<\/p>\n<p>Opening the event\u00a0<b>UPT pro-rector - Conf.univ.dr.ing. Florin Dragan<\/b>\u00a0who reminded about the context of this event, on the occasion of the one century anniversary of the foundation of Politehnica University Timi\u0219oara.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignleft wp-image-27211 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Florin-Dragan-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Florin-Dragan-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Florin-Dragan-256x256.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>\"<em>I have to say that I am very happy that, 3 days before, as a preview to the year in which we celebrate 100 years of UPT, we have this presentation and this result of the project initiated by our colleagues, in collaboration with the other institutions. Timisoara Polytechnic, as it has been since the beginning, almost 100 years ago, wants to be involved not only in the transmission of knowledge and skills to students, but we want to be involved in all aspects - both cultural, even sporting - everything that means life and society in Timisoara.<\/em>\" - said the UPT pro-rector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following spoke\u00a0<strong>dr. eng. It is a desire that we had, to tell the stories of Timisoara, in a different way, to build layers on top of this beautiful city, representing both the history, the heritage of the city, but especially the stories of the communities, the neighbourhoods, the art objects, the technological discoveries, but also of their inhabitants. It's a combination of real life and digital life, because there are, as you can see, several digital applications. The other step is for each resident to tell their story. We have called it \"your story\" and it will be the story of the residents of the Iosefin neighbourhood this year, which will be duplicated in the other neighbourhoods and not just tell the story of those who lived there. It can tell the story of someone who has just visited there: . We firmly believe that the story and history of a city is built on the stories of its inhabitants. It has a complex architecture, because what we are seeing now is only a stage of what will take place in 2020 and 2021. There will be other neighbourhoods that will be under the spotlight. And in addition to this exhibition, which is in an established museum space, we also have a street exhibition, with the panels that are in the 16 sites in the city and, of course, the digital component that Ms Andone talked about. What is important from the point of view of the association is this participatory component and the interactivity that exists. Because, in addition to the exhibition, the inhabitants of the city have the opportunity to tell their own story. Liana Maria Gombo\u0219iu is the author of the novel \"Valeria Dr. Pintea - a family novel\", which we turned into an exhibition. It is an exhibition presented in the form of panels, in this display format, but also a street exhibition with 16 panels, with texts in Romanian and English about the buildings in Iosefin, fragments of the novel in Romanian, but also in English. Because, all these apps are under free license. They are free to be redistributed and created as educational objects by all high schools in Timisoara. Pintea - a novel in an exhibition. The daily life of the Iosefin neighborhood is illustrated through the stories of Valeria dr. Pintea (1893-1984), born Chiri\u021ba. Originally from Lugoj, she married the doctor Vasile Pintea in 1913 and became a resident of Iosefin, Valeria is a fine observer of daily life and a good storyteller, her memories of the neighborhood and the people reaching us through her niece\u2019s pen - Liana Maria Gombo\u0219iu, author of the novel Valeria dr. Pintea (Marineasa Publishing House,  Timisoara, 2013).
