General considerations<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second edition of the International Spotlight Heritage Student Contest 2022, henceforth called ISHSC 2022, is organized by the Politehnica University of Timisoara from Romania as part of the <strong>\u201cSpotlight Heritage 2022 \u2013 Cetate \u2013 A World in the Mirror\u201d<\/strong>project, financed in 2022 by the Center for Projects of the Timisoara Municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first edition is available here: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/en\/eveniment\/ishsc-2021-si-a-prezentat-castigatorii-tururi-virtuale-interactive-si-aplicatii-ar-dezvoltate-de-studenti-internationali\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/en\/eveniment\/ishsc-2021-si-a-prezentat-castigatorii-tururi-virtuale-interactive-si-aplicatii-ar-dezvoltate-de-studenti-internationali\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The partners of this contest are Aalborg Universitet from Denmark, Universit\u00e0 di Modena e Reggio Emilia from Italy, and Kauno technologijos universitetas from Lithuania.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This procedure was written in accordance with the national legislation of Romania and the internal regulations of the Politehnica University of Timisoara regarding student activities, international collaboration with other universities, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants have the obligation to respect the terms and conditions of the present regulation for carrying out the activities regarding the participation in <strong>ISHSC 2022.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Mandatory conditions for registration in the ISHSC 2022 contest<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In order to register for the participation in the ISHSC 2022 contest,<\/strong> the participants need to be students at one of these four universities (irrespective of the level of studies that they are currently enrolled in \u2013 bachelor, master, doctorate):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Politehnica University of Timisoara (Romania)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aalborg Universitet (Denmark)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universit\u00e0 di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Italy)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kauno technologijos universitetas (Lithuania)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants must fill in a form, accessible at the link <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/form.123formbuilder.com\/6242990\/form\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/form.123formbuilder.com\/6242990\/form\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which will contain the following information:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Full name<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email address<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phone<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">University<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Faculty<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specialization<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skills \/ competencies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short idea description<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants will shortly after submission receive an email from the organizers that will confirm their registration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3. The ISHSC 2022 contest \u2013 outcome, jurying, awards<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contest will require<strong> that students work in international teams (at least from 2 universities of the 4 involved in the contest)<\/strong>If, when you submit your project idea you will not know colleagues from other universities, the organisers will have a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mix &amp; match<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session between projects, after all project ideas are submitted. So, you can submit your project idea even if you do not have an international team and are then invited to discuss and harmonize your project with colleagues from the other universities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project idea should be based on<strong> creating a digital storytelling artefact in virtual reality or augmented reality with Spotlight Heritage resources,<\/strong>using the existing multimedia artifacts, text and stories, and integrating it in a virtual reality\/augmented reality experience. You will be able to create other multimedia or digital artefacts (e.g. 3D images), to integrate other functionalities or connect with your local\/national\/international stories. You should be able to work in English with your international team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spotlight Heritage resources are available in Romanian and English on the website <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and in the mobile applications for Android and iOS that you can find on the app stores with the name \u201cSpotlight Timisoara\u201d. These resources will be made available to the participants in raw format upon their request.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeline of the contest:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration: 1.10.2022 \u2013 28.10.2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team formation (where needed): 28.10.2022 \u2013 31.10.2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implementation of the idea: 1.11.2022 \u2013 8.11.2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presentation \/ pitching \/ jurying: 9.11.2022<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The projects will be judged by a panel composed of specialists from the Spotlight Heritage Timi\u0219oara project, and the results will be announced on the same day. The pitching and jurying will take place, as a standalone section, during the annual Interactive Digital Media Student Contest organized by the Politehnica University of Timisoara.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winners will receive prizes and will be nominated for the EU Medeea Awards 2023 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medea-awards.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.medea-awards.com\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the Interactive Digital Media Student Contest 2023 edition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 2021 participation in the Medea Awards is featured here:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/en\/eveniment\/international-spotlight-heritage-student-contest-2021-finalist-la-premiile-medea-2022\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/spotlight-timisoara.eu\/en\/eveniment\/international-spotlight-heritage-student-contest-2021-finalist-la-premiile-medea-2022\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluation criterias:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creative use of Spotlight Heritage Timisoara multimedia resources and the digital storytelling perspective<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical evaluation \u2013 mandatory AR\/VR final product, complexity and interactivity of the final product and its possibility to be integrated in existing SH applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International perspective of the team and ideas<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Prizes\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>There will be maximum of 3 prizes in total amount of 5000 euro.<\/strong> Contributions will be deducted from the prize amount.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Politehnica University of Timisoara reserves its right to adapt the project evaluation and prize values, depending on the number and value of the final products produced by teams.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. Protection of personal data<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Politehnica University of Timi\u0219oara, as organizers, undertake to comply with the provisions of General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 (GDPR), regarding the protection of personal data, stored during the registration and the contest itself. As such, the organizers undertake to keep the personal data of the participants in this contest confidential and to use them in accordance with this procedure and the legislation in force.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By simply participating in the contest, transmitting personal data to the organizers and other information requested in the context of this procedure, or by communicating personal data, participants agree that their data should enter the organizers\u2019 database, be processed and used in the future by organizers or legal entities authorized by them, to inform participants about new projects, advertising and marketing campaigns.
