International Digital Culture & Spotlight Heritage Festival - Digital Heritage Dome<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Digital premieres dedicated to culture and science, unique experiences for children, young people and all those interested in digital heritage<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politehnica University of Timisoara is organising for the first time the <\/span>International Digital Culture & Spotlight Heritage Festival <\/b>during<\/span> 4 May - 30 July 2023<\/b>, part of the project <\/span>Spotlight Heritage Timisoara<\/b> realized in partnership with the National Museum of Banat, part of the Cultural Programme Timi\u0219oara 2023 European Capital of Culture and partially funded by <\/span>EEA and Norway Grants. <\/span><\/i> The International Festival of Digital Culture and Heritage brings together curators, digital artists, teachers and students from Romania, Norway, USA, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Lithuania and other countries in a foray into the cultural dimensions of immersive digital technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Digital Culture & Spotlight Heritage Festival <\/b>features extended reality demonstrations from the fields of culture, history, science, education and installations created for heritage buildings. All events are <\/span>public, for all, children and families<\/b>, in various locations: ExperimentariumTM and UPT Technical Museum - <\/span>Science and Tech Playground<\/b>, in the <\/span>U Barracks - Digital Culture Space<\/b>, in the hall of the Electro building <\/span>- Culture Fun Space <\/b>of the Politehnica University of Timisoara, in the spaces of the National Museum of Banat - <\/span>Digital Heritage Dome<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same period <\/span>NETTIES International Conference, Networking Entities<\/b>, organised together with the international association<\/span> IAFES<\/b> and a <\/span>workshop dedicated to creative industries specialists<\/b> at an <\/span>25-26 May 2023<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In<\/b> <\/span>MNaB Museum - Digital Heritage Dome <\/b> in <\/span>19 May<\/b>  various immersive experiences both in the halls of the museum and in the historical and public passages of the Theresia Bastion, where the history and stories of Timi\u0219oara can be experienced through <\/span>guided tours<\/b> and <\/span>interactive video projections<\/b>. Visitors will discover the Giroc district, along with the other flagship districts, in a classic exhibition with technology in the attic of the building. They will discover the extent of the Heritage in the Spotlight project developed in recent years, be immersed in the stories collected through the VR dome and walk through history along digitally animated tunnels in the street space of the Theresia Bastion.
