Politehnica University Timisoara invites you to discover virtual applications at Flight Festival 2023<\/a>, , where it will present the International Festival of Digital Culture and Heritage. The event will take place from the 16th to the 18th of June and will offer an immersive experience through the Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies developed in the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara project.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Festival of Culture and Digital Heritage, organised as part of the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara project, is delighted to announce its presence at the most anticipated event of the year - Flight Festival 2023. The festival will take place from 16-18 June 2023 and will bring an exciting digital experience to the heart of Timi\u0219oara. Our booth can be found at the Tech tent next to the main stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotlight Heritage Timisoara is part of the national cultural programme \"Timisoara - European Capital of Culture 2023\" and aims to explore and celebrate the city's rich history and heritage. Using augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, viewers will be transported on a virtual journey through Timi\u0219oara's 5 prominent neighbourhoods: Iosefin (2019), Elisabetin (2020), Fabric (2021), Cetate (2022) and Giroc (2023). Each neighbourhood offers a unique and fascinating story and participants will have the opportunity to explore and discover their hidden cultural and architectural treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an innovative combination of technology and culture, the International Festival of Digital Culture and Heritage brings a new perspective to the way we discover and understand history. Participants will have the opportunity to interact virtually with iconic buildings and objects, feeling the atmosphere and emotions specific to each neighbourhood through apps developed by UPT students and professors. It is a unique opportunity to travel back in time and connect with Timisoara's cultural and historical heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Festival 2023 is an unmissable event for lovers of music, art, technology and culture, and the presence of the International Festival of Digital Culture and Heritage will add a special touch to this exceptional event.
