Our and the city's stories have crossed the Atlantic, and the "Heritage in the Spotlight - Parallel Worlds" exhibition has even attracted people from New York!

Even for one or two visitors, our exhibition is open and our guides are there to tell the story of Timisoara's places and all those who lived here before us. This week we had a visit from the director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, Dorian Branea, with his wife Daciana Branea. They discovered the city's history, culture and heritage through the stories of the people, crossing the boundaries of time into the digital world.

Through an immersive experience, our visitors were able to enjoy a tour of Timisoara and its iconic buildings with just a few clicks, and the walk along the Bega canal was done right from the museum's attic, using virtual reality glasses!

We are waiting for you to visit us and discover Timișoara differently! The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the B2 attic of the Bastion Maria Theresia, part of the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara project, part of the National Cultural Programme "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023".
