Spotlight Heritage Timisoara Project tells the multiple stories of Timișoara through digital technologies, stories of cultural and historical heritage, of technical development, of communities and neighborhoods, interwoven with the personal stories of past and present inhabitants, through the digital overlay of intangible heritage of books, memories, oral histories and art, while five women guide the project every year.
The "Happenings" section represents the digital and physical itineraries of the Iosefin (2019), Elisabetin (2020), Fabric (2021) and Cetate (2022) neighbourhoods and reveals their stories through several layers: theatre and street dance, events, performances and digital installations, scenography (props, virtual effects, audio-video, olfactory stimulation with chemical demonstrations)which are carried out periodically with the active involvement of students and citizens.
These events represent the executive team's desire to innovate the way a city's history and built heritage are presented to the general public in an attractive, artistic, dynamic and attractive way, in order to facilitate cultural awareness and education, especially for the younger generations, and to highlight multiculturalism, diversity of ethnicities, architectural styles and historical journeys by providing stories worth preserving and cherishing.
