Dozens of students from the "Grigore Moisil" Theoretical High School in Timisoara stepped into the fascinating world of digital creation, guided by the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara team. During two creative workshops Spotlight Heritage Timișoara team, students learned to use innovative technologies to explore the rich history and culture of their home city.

team Spotlight Heritage Timisoaraa, through the Department of ID/IFR and Digital Education of the Politehnica University of Timisoara, in partnership with the "Grigore Moisil" Theoretical High School Timisoara, through Prof. Magda Gurzun, organized during the month of June 2024 a series of interactive workshops dedicated to high school students and supported by experts from DeL UPT.

The project, a continuation of the "Spotlight Heritage Timisoara"offers a unique platform for students to discover and showcase the hidden stories of Timișoara through interactive virtual tours, augmented reality applications and immersive VR games.

Guided by dr. eng. Diana Andone and Eng. Marius Tătaru (Department of ID/IFR and Digital Education), high school students learned to:

• create immersive virtual tours of Timisoara, using 3D modeling through the CoSpaces platform, allowing the public a virtual journey through the picturesque streets and iconic monuments of the city.
• to develop augmented reality applications, revealing the fascinating stories of the most important personalities and defining moments in Timisoara's history, bringing monuments to life and offering a unique perspective of the city.
• to develop immersive VR games and experiences, transporting players to different eras of Timișoara, from the Middle Ages to the modern era, offering them an interactive and memorable learning journey.
• use 3D modeling, augmented reality and virtual reality to transform Timisoara into a land of fascinating discoveries.
• design and create immersive VR games and experiences that transpose players into different eras of Timișoara, offering them an interactive and memorable learning experience.

Project "The stories of Timișoara" is part of the National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded by the Power Station+ program | Creative Schools, implemented by the Timisoara Project Center, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the Ministry of Culture.
