On Monday, April 7, 2025, dozens of students from the Nikolaus Lenau High School in Timisoara, together with their German peers, took part in a unique educational experience facilitated by the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara team. The visit, hosted by the UPT Technical Museum, culminated in an interactive exploration of local heritage through state-of-the-art technologies.

The focus of the visit was the direct interaction with the innovative applications developed by Spotlight Heritage Timisoara: The students were transformed into virtual tourists, exploring Timisoara in #lumeadigitala through virtual reality (VR). The excitement was palpable as they discovered the city's history and culture in an immersive and engaging way.

Fun and learning were perfectly combined through the interactive games on general culture and the history of the city, available through Mixed Reality (MR). These experiences offered a new and engaging perspective on Timisoara's rich past.

In addition, young people had the opportunity to interact with two permanent digital installations, which enrich the museum's educational offer:

𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐞𝐢: The interactive installation created by the artist Marius Jurca (13m10j) offered an artistic and personal way to discover Timisoara through poetry and colors.

𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧: This dynamic virtual garden allowed students to observe the complex interactions between plants and virtual fungi, as well as the effects of different drugs on living organisms.

The guided tours offered by the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara team emphasize the importance of offering young people unique and non-conventional ways to connect with local history and the stories of the people who shaped the city, and are considered essential to stimulate the interest of future generations in heritage.
