Opening of the drawing exhibition "Timisoara's Stories - A visual journey through Timisoara"

The "Grigore Moisil" Theoretical High School and Secondary School No. 19 "Avram Iancu" from Timișoara, together with the Polytechnic University of Timișoara had the pleasure to organize Tuesday, October 12, in the central hall of the UPT Library, the opening of the exhibition "Timisoara Stories - A visual journey through Timisoara".

The opening of the event started with speeches by representatives from the "Grigore Moisil" Theoretical High School, "Avram Iancu" Secondary School No. 19, together with a speech by conf.univ.dr.eng. Florin Dragan, Rector of the Politehnica University of Timișoara and a few words offered by Dr Diana Andone, Director of the ID/IFR and Digital Education Department.

The event continued with a talk given by Mrs. asist.univ.univ.dr.arh Brândușa Havași, who spoke about the architectural richness of Timisoara and the importance of providing opportunities for children and young people to discover the city's culture and history in creative ways.

The exhibition includes more than 50 drawings by students of the "Grigore Moisil" Theoretical High School and the "Avram Iancu" Secondary School No. 19, and can be visited untilNovember 15, 2024.

The public also had the opportunity to enjoy immersive experiences offered by Spotlight Heritage Timișoara team through its own virtual reality app, discovering the city and interacting with its cultural heritage in the digital world.

This event is dedicated to the general public, regardless of age, and encourages a deeper connection between the younger generation and the cultural richness of the city, while supporting the development of emerging artistic talents. The exhibition is a celebration of art, but also a way to emphasize the importance of protecting and enhancing Timisoara's architectural heritage for future generations.
