Polytechnic University of Timisoara, together with Spotlight Heritage Timisoara, invites you to celebrate Timisoara Day with stories of the city of yesterday and today, with the help of immersive Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies! Unique digital installations await you, through which you can discover the history of information technology, from the first computers and devices to the latest technological generations, combining the past with the present in unexpected ways.

• Interactive edutainment applications of Spotlight Heritage
• Latest applications Spotlight Heritage Timișoara team virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (AR/MR);
•  Patterns of PoetryDiscover Timișoara through poetry and colour (artist: Marius Jurca, 13m10j);
• Unique digital installations,
  • Physic AI Garden: a dynamic virtual garden with virtual plants and mushrooms (artists: Anna Dumitriu & Alex May, in collaboration with CAPABLE Project and BioArt Revolution, organized within the Romanian Science Festival);
  • 👉🏻 Games in AR, where you can interact with objects from the city's cultural heritage;
• History of information technologies: visit MECIPT-1, the first university computer in Romania, but also all the other technological devices to see with their own eyes the technological evolution of our era;

Discover what the first alpha-numeric computer in Romanian academia looked like - MECIPT-1, but also its evolution in the computer museum, along with generations of devices that paved the way for today's technological evolution!

The journey will also reach the present, where visitors can discover the latest generations of digital applications and installations, realized by students of the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, in partnership with various local and international artists.

We are waiting for you at the biggest celebration this summer, where we celebrate Timisoara and its history, through art and culture, but also through technology!
