Discover the heritage of Timișoara through dance steps
Dance performance, with the use of digital technology and elements of augmented reality

Regina Maria Park, Statue Area | Monday | September 12, 2022 | 20:00

The dance moments depict scenes from the daily life of children in the past, meetings of the artistic elite of the time or sequences from a Jewish wedding, all in the setting provided by the wonderful buildings of the area. The show is inspired by the exhibition "Fabric Neighborhood - Worlds in Destinies", organized in 2021 by the National Museum of Banat and the Politehnica University of Timișoara, which includes the personal histories of the residents of Fabric, interviewed by the team led by Prof. Dr. Smaranda Vultur, coordinator of the Oral History and Cultural Anthropology Group.

The event took place on September 12, in the Regina Maria Park, located in the Fabric Neighborhood, from 8 PM and was influenced by the use of digital technology and elements of augmented reality, elements created by Politehnica University of Timișoara students, also involved in the "Spotlight Heritage Timisoara" project.

The cultural project "Spotlighting Timisoara's Heritage through Dance/Discover Timișoara's heritage through dance", a project co-financed by the Timișoara City Hall through the Project Center, is an initiative of the Magnum Sports Dance Club Association, in collaboration with the Politehnica University of Timișoara and The National Museum of Banat and is inspired by the project "Spotlight Heritage Timisoara / Patrimoniul sub Reflectoare Timisoara", part of the Cultural Program Timisoara European Cultural Capital 2023.

More details about the event and pictures are here.

The dance performance recorded in an AR multimedia experience can be viewed here:
