As part of Timisoara Heritage in the Spotlight, the Polytechnic University of Timisoara brought the Bega Canal and its natural and historical environment to the fore with two impressive installations. In "Bega Echoes/ Bega Echoes" and "Bega Canal Heritage".

Through the "Bega Canal Heritage", The students of Politehnica University Timișoara created a remarkable experience where the public could enjoy one of the most famous landmarks of the city. This digital initiative brings the Bega canal and its natural and historical richness to the foreground through a captivating video clip that goes through the key points of Timișoara.

A captivating vision of the Bega Canal

The project is a remarkable virtual foray that allows viewers to explore and discover the unique features of the Bega Canal and its connection to the city of Timisoara. The video offers spectacular images that highlight the connection between the city and one of its most famous landmarks. Each sequence of the clip is accompanied by Robert Șerban's inspiring poems, highlighting Timișoara's cultural and natural heritage. This creation represents an innovative approach to presenting history and cityscapes.

"Bega Canal Heritage" is more than just a video; it is a digital foray that illustrates the strong connections between nature, history and city. Created by students to highlight the richness and beauty of the Bega Canal, this digital experience brings Timisoara's historical and natural heritage to the fore in an engaging and educational way.

The event is part of the Spotlight Heritage Timișoara digital cultural initiative, part of the Cultural Programme Timișoara 2023 European Capital of Culture and is co-funded by EEA and Norway Grants.
