Today, 12 December, the official opening of the exhibition "𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭̦𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭̦𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐬̦𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐚: 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐮𝐦 𝐜𝐚̆𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭̦𝐢𝐞", organized and displayed in the central hall of the Politehnica University of Timișoara Library (2 Vasile Pârvan Boulevard, Timișoara).

Our project is also part of the exhibition, showcasing memoirs, memories and fragments from the early history of the 1956 student uprisings, where groups of students gathered in the Politehnica student restaurant to demonstrate their desire for freedom from the oppressive Soviet occupation at the time.

This revolt culminated on October 30, 1956, when a group of students of the Polytechnic Institutepresented a memorandum with demands addressed to the communist authorities, thus starting a long, arduous road, but with a clear destination 33 years later, when the 1989 Revolution broke out in Timișoara.1989 revolution.

Now, in 2024, we mark 35 years of freedom from the moments and horrors of that December. That's why we invite you to discover the exhibition and the rest of the events around the city in the days to come.

The exhibition can be visited, for free, until January 23, 2025.
