In the 1980s, the four major production platforms in Timisoara were arranged as follows: the chemical and machine-building industries platform was located in the southeast of the city, the construction materials and energy industry in the south, the food industry in the southwest, and the machine-building platform was in the northeast, where 70% of the city's production capacity was concentrated.

I came from the first exhibition of the newly established section of the National Museum of Banat, on the history of urban civilization: Glassware and porcelain from the 1960s. Remember?
The audience was made up of ladies of the era, who donated material, taken out of the shop windows at home. Glassware factories were evoked, Cenușescu was evoked, which seems to still be following us... A kind of Historia Incrementorum atque Decrementorum Aulae Romaniae.
And in my new neighborhood, it feels like history flows through our lives, fluidly. The long road is strewn with traces of former "glory", now decayed. Only a few still sow their present. AEM, for example, the electric meter factory.
