The Elisabetin Neighborhood, under the spotlight! "Sacred Heart of Jesus" Roman Catholic Church, Bălcescu Square | Thursday | September 15, 2022 | 20:00
We are waiting for you to join us and the Thespis team, at a theater show that will be influenced by the use of digital technology and elements of augmented reality, to experience the history and heritage of Timisoara and discover the atmosphere of the daily life of the city of yesteryear! Participation is free!
This show is part of the series of events dedicated to the cultural program Timișoara European Cultural Capital 2023, held within the framework of Spotlight Heritage Timișoara team 2022 project, a project co-financed by the Timișoara City Hall through the Project Center, Timiș County Council, carried out by the Politehnica University of Timișoara, in collaboration with the National Museum of Banat.
The direction of the show is inspired by the exhibition “Spotlight Heritage. Elisabetin neighbourhood and Netti Dr. Diel - A world in a chest ", organized as part of the project, in 2020, by the National Museum of Banat and the Politehnica University of Timișoara, which is based on the manuscript "Family Journal" by Prof. Dr. Pia Brînzeu and will bring under the spotlight the stories and the atmosphere of the Elisabetin neighborhood, which will be played through the prism of Netti Dr. Diel’s world, whose memories extracted from the fragments of the manuscript will contribute to illustrating the atmosphere of the daily life of the old neighborhood.
The unique aspect will be provided by the use of digital technology and elements of augmented reality, elements created by the students from the "Spotlight Heritage Timișoara" project team, from Politehnica University of Timișoara.
