About the Digital Culture & Heritage Talks conference
Digital Culture & Heritage Talks aims to provide a space for discussion of current trends and projects related to the intersection of artistic practices and digital technology, with a particular focus on the impact on education and community. The conference brings together a range of cultural, educational, artistic, critical and scholarly perspectives, giving visibility to recent and ongoing projects in different countries and cultural contexts. The conference is constructed as a hybrid event with physical and online participation, integrating structured discussions, practical interventions and demonstrations and, for the first time, an XR Show into the programme. The target group is made up of actors from the creative industries, cultural industries, artists, students, teachers from academia and pre-university. The event is developed as a continuation of the 7 Workshops of the last years of Politehnica University Timisoara, dedicated to digital competences in creative industries, of the IAFeS NETTIES 2021 International Conference, Digital Culture in Education, Science and Technology and of the Erasmus+ project DigiCulture - Improving digital skills and social inclusion of adults in creative industries, at a time of growing interest in Timisoara's role in building the creative industries. During the conference, participants will have the option to listen to English presentations dubbed into Romanian with a live interpreter, provided by the UPT ID/IFR and e-Learning Centre.
